Obituary of Charles Anton Schwickerath

Charles Anton Schwickerath Sr was born in Independence, Kansas on May 25, 1946 to John and Ruth Findley Schwickerath. He went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 69. Charles is survived by his loving wife, of the home, Carolyn Schwickerath of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He had two sons, Chuck Schwickerath and wife Cindy, and Jeff Schwickerath and wife Sondra, all residing in Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one grandson, Andrew Schwickerath and wife Cammie of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; four granddaughters, Rachel Gheen and husband Jonathan of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Jessica Schwickerath, Jennifer Schwickerath, and Jara Schwickerath all of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; four great-grandsons, Braden, Titus, and Wyatt Schwickerath of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Ethan Gheen of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; one sister, Mary Cooper of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Schwickerath and Ruth Donaghe, and his sister, Sharon Kay Jones. He worked at different times as a produce manager at Safeway, a press break operator at C.E. Natco and Unit Rig, and owner of an antique furniture store in Sapulpa. He pioneered North Heights Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and pastored there for 3 years. He pastored Miracle of Faith Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for 21 years and currently attended there. He loved traveling and had visited all 50 states with his wife. He also loved going to auctions and keeping up with his grandchildren and great-grandsons. Charles was a wonderful husband, father, papa, and great papa and he will be greatly missed by his friends, his church, and his family. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May21, 2016 at Foundation Church.
