Jerry Thompson

Obituary of Jerry Lynn Thompson

Jerry Lynn Thompson was a man of many names and many talents. Some of the names should not be used in mixed company and not all of his talents were good. But, when he was good, he was unbeatable. He would do anything to help out a friend or pay back an enemy. Jerry was born October 20, 1952 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Jewel and Eulys Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his brother Keith Thompson; sisters, Von Hamriek and Sue Stone; his three children, James Young, Bobbi Henry and Jerry Thompson; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Jerry began tinkering with cars at a very young age. And later became a great mechanic. He had many other occupations in life and could repair or build just about anything. He knew how to make and spend money and was no stranger to the hustle life throws at you. He has a heart of gold, though gold is sometimes stone cold. He loved his kids and family very much and spoke of them often. He had a good sense of humor and could always put a smile on your face. Even if you were both down. He saw the bright side of bad situations. Each of you have had your own relationship with Jerry Thompson and each of you have your own set of memories and words to describe this man. Many of you will laugh and tell wonderful stories about Jerry. A few will whisper anecdotes so children won’t hear. But all of will tell a story of a man we called brother, father and friends.
