Obituary of Warren E Garrison

Warren Eugene Garrison went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the age of 82. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on July 9th, 1934. Warren was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Fischer of Beaumont, CA and his brother Keith Garrison of Sapulpa. He is survived by his daughter Karen Keeling and fiancé Steve Riggs of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, Jasmine Losinske and husband Michael of Hominy, OK; Amanda Keeling fiancé Kolton Knott of Bristow, OK; and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 step-children, Carol Hartmeister and husband Ron of Long Beach, CA; Ronnie Reeves of Purcell, OK; Steven Champine of Phoenix, AZ and several grandchildren. Warren was raised in Des Moines, Iowa. After completing school he enlisted in the US Navy November of 1951. He later enlisted in the US Air Force. Between the 2 branches of the military he served a total of 11 years. He had 2 Honorable Discharges with multiple medals, awards and honors. Warren served overseas twice including time in Panama. He was very proud to serve Our Country and loved telling stories of his experiences. After his service he moved to California for many years. There he worked for Boeing for several years and then became a city bus driver. He moved to Oklahoma in 1976 to finish raising his family. Some of his hobbies were guns, reloading ammo, watching old movies, listening to classic country and gospel music. He also loved his electronics. He enjoyed making homemade beer and was a Master at making chocolate eclairs. He adored his pets and enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved to talk and never met a stranger. His favorite topics were politics and religion. Dad was a feisty little man who talked too loud and walked too fast. We love you very much and you will be forever in our hearts. Funeral Services are scheduled at 2:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2016 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 pm Thursday evening. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312/www.greenhillok.com
