Obituary of Betty Ann Reynolds

Betty Ann Reynolds was born August 10, 1944 in Granby, Missouri, the first born child of Curtis and Nellie Jo (Neil) Reynolds. She passed away in St. John’s Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma from complications of heart disease November 19, 2016. Ann is survived by her sisters Lynn Sartin of Granby, Missouri and Cathy (Jim) Sheehy of Newtonia, Missouri, nieces and nephews: Fawn Sartin, Derek (Jaime) Sartin, Tara Sartin, Kurtis (Sarah) Sheehy, and Kelli Sheehy (Danny) Clinton. and 9 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Dan Sartin. Ann was a graduate of the 1962 class of Midway High School. She graduated from Southwest Baptist University of Bolivar, Missouri in 1968. She then earned a degree in business and accounting in 1977 from Missouri Southern State University. She worked as an elementary school teacher, an accountant, and later as a real estate agent. She lived in Alaska for a number of years before settling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ann was a member of the Eastwood Baptist Church in Tulsa. Ann served God by singing in the choir and caring for others. She had a special love for children and their families. She enjoyed reading, traveling, and knitting. Many family and friends were gifted with Ann’s beautiful afghans she knitted and gave away. She will be missed by her family and many friends. A memorial service honoring Ann’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on December 3, 2016 at Newtonia Baptist Church, Newtonia, Missouri. Family will be available for visitation at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. There will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be given directly to Eastwood Baptist Church, 949 S. 91st. East Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74112 or directly to the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home, 11300 St. Charles Rock Rd., Bridgeton, MO 63044. *The family would like to offer a special word of appreciation to the St. John’s Medical Center CVICU doctors, nurses, and staff for their kindness and care to Ann.
