Obituary of Kenneth Eugene McEver

Kenneth and Gene (Baxter) McEver began their lives together on March 17, 1955 in Tulsa, OK. They are the parents of Vickie Hadley of Berryhill and Randy McEver of Kansas. Kenneth was the middle child of Clifton and Vinnie McEver. He is survived by his sister Wilma Butcher of Tulsa and was preceded in death by his brother Don McEver. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 62 years of marriage, Gene; daughter, Vickie Hadley; son, Randy McEver; granddaughter, Stefanie Hadley of Berryhill; great-grandson Kenneth Cameron Hadley, age 16, of Berryhill; great-granddaughter Marissa Haley, age 9, of Berryhill; his best buddy (dog) "Jake," and a host of other family members and friends. Kenneth retired in 1997 from the International Union of Operating Engineers. After retirement he worked with his daughter as a realtor with Southwest Properties. Kenneth had a kind heart and was always helping others. He enjoyed telling funny jokes and stories as well as playing practical jokes. Kenneth loved traveling with his wife and family in the R.V. known as "The Storyteller." His grandchild and great-grandchildren knew him as "Papa." He really loved spending time with them and he was always making them smile! Kenneth was saved and baptized at a revival in Sallisaw, OK. Kenneth and Gene have been members of View Acres Baptist Church for 15 years. He will be greatly missed by all of those that knew and loved him. Funeral Services are scheduled at 1:00 pm Friday, April 7th at View Acre Baptist Church (65th W. Ave. Berryhill). Visitation is Thursday at Green Hill Funeral Home from 2-7 pm.
