Obituary of Connie Ellen Orick

Connie Ellen Orick, “Nana,” age 74, finished her race on April 14, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family. Connie was the loving wife of Russell for 56 years. They were longtime residents of Hackett, Arkansas but moved to the home of their son-in-law and daughter three years ago due to declining health. Connie was born in Appalachia, Virginia as Connie Ellen Sturgill and married Russell Franklin Orick on June 17, 1961. Her immediate family included: her husband Russell, daughter Vicky and son-in-law CR Pearson, daughter Sandy and son-in-law Tom Goff and Angie and son-in-law Gene Richison, 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 1 grandson-in-law, 1 granddaughter-in-law and two great-granddaughters. One of Connie’s greatest joys was leading song services at the Trinity Pentecostal Church in Hackett, AR. She loved reading and could make any plant she touched flourish. Services will be held graveside at Kellyville City Cemetery at 12:00 pm Wednesday, April 19, 2017. Visitation is on Tuesday at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa from 2-8 pm.
