Obituary of Laura Nicole Norris

Laura Nicole Norris, 33, of Sapulpa, died Thursday, May 25, 2017, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa after many battles with asthma. She was born June 7, 1983, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Barbara Murphy and David Campbell.

Laura graduated from Sapulpa High School in Sapulpa, Oklahoma with the class of 2002. She married Curtis Norris on August 8, 2008 in Jenks, Oklahoma. Laura graduated from Oklahoma Health Academy with a Registered Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy degree in 2010. She went to work at Warren Clinic in Tulsa, Oklahoma before deciding to work in the home the last few years as a stay-at-home mom. Laura enjoyed wood-working crafts and making gifts for the people she loved (particularly things she found on Pinterest). She was extremely creative and loved to repurpose many things from old furniture to wooden shipping pallets to Little Tikes Cozy Coupes.

She is survived by her husband Curtis A. Norris of Sapulpa; three children, Bayleigh Norris, Bentley Norris, and niece Paizley Campbell of Sapulpa; her parents Barbara and Jeff Murphy of Glenpool, Oklahoma and David and Shelley Campbell of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; brothers Jason Campbell of Cleveland, Ohio, Chris (Cass) Murphy of Joplin, Missouri; Randall (Lauren) Firey of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; and Jon (Holly Province) Firey of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Shawna Campbell; grandmother Pauline Langham of Glenpool, Oklahoma and grandparents Hearld and Linda Campbell of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Tom Langham, her cousin, Jennifer Lunow, and her aunt, Donna Hunziker.

In death she saved three lives by sharing her organs and will touch up to 75 through tissue donation with the LifeShare program.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church of Sapulpa at 111 South Oak, Sapulpa, Oklahoma, 74066, with Director of Christian Education, Roger Schow, officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday May 29, from 1pm to 8pm at the Green Hill Funeral Home.
