Obituary of Veletta Jean Anderson

Veletta Jean (Watashe) Anderson “Biscuit” passed from this life to be with her Creator on July 8, 2017 at the age of 63. She was born September 29, 1953 to the late George and Mary Watashe. Biscuit was a life-long member of Polecat Ceremonial Ground and a member of the NAC Yuchi Chapter. Biscuit attended Lindsey Elementary, Monroe Jr. High, McClane High School and Sequoyah Indian High School graduating in 1972. She also attended Haskell Indian College. Biscuit was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a very hard worker, working in the Dry Cleaning business for many years and then becoming a cook and teacher at the Creek Nation Child Development Center in Sapulpa. Working with the kids she loved so much like they were her own. Biscuit had a very good sense of humor and a laugh you would not forget.

She loved to watch her grandchildren, nieces and nephews play sports. Biscuit was a big Boomer Sooner fan but, she would cheer on other teams as long as it was a good game. Her joys and devotions in life were being at the Ceremonial Stomp dances, going to the casino, watching her favorite band play, Smilin’ Vic & the Soul Monkeys, and just being around her family.

Veletta is preceded in death by her parents: George and Mary Watashe, Sisters: Sutta Bryant, Lou Spencer and Lucy Watashe, Brothers: Kenneth & Ronnie Watashe.

Veletta is survived by her husband Victor R. Anderson of home, Daughter: Latisha L. Anderson, Sons: Victor R Anderson Jr. & Daniel C Anderson (C-Bo), Granddaughter: Shanice B. Bucktrot, Grandson; Kyron D Rowe, Great-Grandson; Braylen C. Bucktrot, Sisters; Aleta Watashe of Kellyville, Katie Bucktrot and husband of Tulsa and Leatrice Sapulpa and husband of Sapulpa. Biscuit-Aunt B will be missed by all that knew her.
