Obituary of MARVIN DEAN BUSBY

Marvin entered this life May 30, 1954, born to Clell and Vaneta Busby at Iowa City, Iowa. In 1972, he graduated high school from Indianola High School, and later graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  He began his carpentry career in the early 1980’s, in Tulsa.  As a master carpenter, Marvin was a well-liked and respected member of the greater Tulsa area building community for more than four decades. He will be missed by many colleagues and friends. Much of Marvin’s greatest joys in life came from being with his children and grandchildren. He had a heart for service and was always there to help whenever a need arose. Marvin entered eternal life on September 10, 2018, where he is now in the glorious presence of his Lord and Savior and enjoying the company of family and friends who were waiting there to welcome him home.

Things That Make Me

by Marvin Busby, 2-25-17

Things That Make Me Happy - Loving God, Loving all but evil. - My Father, my Mother, my Brother and Sisters. - My wonderful Wife and our beautiful Children. - Building things, almost anything. - Teaching others to build things. - Machines that go fast. - Playing pool and having a beer with a friend. - Children playing. - Seeing people smile. - The Loving support and prayers of family and friends. - Serving God, receiving his blessings.

Things That Make Me Cry - Loss of a Loved one. - Killing, stealing, destruction. - Building something and realizing that it looks like socks on a chicken (makes me laugh also). - While receiving cancer treatment at Immunity Therapy Center in Tijuana, Mexico, I tried for three weeks to read this calligraphy on the wall without getting misty eyed. Courage doesn’t always roar, sometimes it’s that quiet voice at the end of the day saying, “I will try again tomorrow.”  Never happened. Still can’t. - While leaving the cemetery after my Mother’s funeral we were rushing to get out of the encroaching blizzard. For an instant I thought, “What about Mom, we can’t leave her in this storm.” Quickly, I realized she wasn’t there anymore. That was the loneliest feeling I have ever felt. - Vengeance, hate.

Things That Make Me Wish I Had Known Sooner - My wonderful wife. - Prayer’s. - God’s Grace and Mercy. - Not to worry, God will provide. - Serving the Lord doesn’t make life easier but much better. - If you are not crossing paths with evil, you are probably on the same path. - Love is the most powerful force in God’s creation

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct 12 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Owasso 9901 North Owasso Expressway, Owasso
