Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Wesley

Mary Elizabeth Wesley passed away peacefully at home with brothers Will Henry Dane and Elmer (Les) Dane and her children at her side on September 20, 2018.  She was born October 23, 1924 in Hardburly, Kentucky to Leo Hayden and Nancy Evelyn (Grigsby) Dane.

Mary loved going to church and to gospel singings, but above all she loved Jesus.  She loved family gatherings, fishing and playing games. She loved to go to Kentucky to visit the old home places.  She loved gardening and had the greenest green thumb in town.  If you noticed the word love is used a lot, it's because Mary was love. She taught all of us what love is.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Roy Green Wesley; father Leo Hayden Dane; mother Nancy Evelyn Dane; sister Lorretta Scott; brothers Floyd Dane, Garrod Dane, I.B. Dane; and children Roy Edward Wesley, Homer David Wesley, Floyd Oliver Wesley, Kelda June Wesley, Mary Frances Wesley, Nancy Angeline Hall; and a host of other family members.

She is survived by brothers William Dane, Elmer Dane, sons Elmer Lee Wesley, William Green Wesley, Isaac Ray Wesley; daughters Donna Lynn Capistant, Paula Evelyn Wesley, Eva Mae Rhul, Lorretta Sue Ritchie, Elizabeth Ann Cox; and numbers grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren (175 at this time).

Funeral Services are scheduled at 2 pm Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be from 10 am until 8 pm at Green Hill.  The family has entrusted the services to Green Hill Funeral Home.  400 E.
