Obituary of Troy Lee Stewart

Troy Lee Stewart, 83, passed away December 10, 2018 at Glenwood Nursing Home in Glenpool, Oklahoma.  He was born to Bob and Alice Stewart on July 1, 1935 in their home in Dewar, Oklahoma.

Troy is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Stewart; sister Loretta Hawthorne; 2 brothers, Carlton Stewart and James Chrysler; 2 sons, Roy Stewart and Coy Stewart; 6 grandkids, Shelby Stewart-Ethridge, Joy Parrish, Crystal Harris, Candice Stewart, Carl Stewart and Chevi Stewart; 7 great-grandkids, Julie and Jadyn Parrish, Carsyn Clark, Kaden and Klayten Stewart, Kyler Stewart and Henry Harris. 

Troy was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Alice Stewart; brother Lloyd “Buddy” Chrysler; 4 sisters, Lucile Stewart, Alice Marie Stewart, Leona Dodge and Janice Cox; son Troy Lee Stewart, Jr.; and great-granddaughter Hadley Grace Stewart.

Troy spent many years working as a furnace operator at Liberty Glass.  He retired from Liberty in 1999.  Troy then went to work at Wal-Mart where he worked for more than 10 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting or as some may say, napping in the outdoors.  He also loved spending time with all of his family and occasionally getting into mischief with his great-grandsons.

Troy will be mostly remembered by his hard work, love and dedication to his family.  He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation for the public will be from 5:00 – 6:45 pm at Green Hill. 400 E. Teel Rd. Sapulpa 918-224-2312
