Obituary of Cecil Ray Scantlin
Cecil Ray Scantlin was born in St. James, Missouri November 15, 1946 to Chester and Fannie (Boyett) Scantlin. He passed from this life December 6, 2018 at Green Country Care Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Cecil attended and graduated from the Missouri School for the Deaf in Fulton, Missouri in 1964. He was a baker by profession. He loved fishing and was a long-time member of the Missouri Deaf Fly-Fishing Association. He also loved his hot rod. He was a charter member of the “Fun Bunch” Car Club. Due to his deafness he was the head of the complaint department.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Fannie Scantlin; sister Rhonda Scantlin; nephew Ritchie Scantlin; his grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by brother Ronnie Scantlin and wife Linda of Sapulpa; brother Charlie Scantlin and wife Debbie of Union, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
