Obituary of Warnemer Ferguson
On September 6, 1924 Melissa Flowers & Sid Briggs were blessed with a beautiful baby girl in Boynton, OK they named Warnemer.
Warnemer attended elementary school in Wetumka, Ok, then moved to Sapulpa, OK at the age of 16 where she attended Booker T. Washington School.
Warnemer married Zelda Coulter Sr. and to this union 4 children were born; Shirley, Zelda Jr, Larry, & Rickey. The marriage ended in divorce. Warnemer remarried Simon P. Ferguson and gained a step-son Kenneth.
Among her pastimes were cooking, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. She had a serious sweet tooth and was affectionally known by her nieces and nephews as “Aunt Sista Baby”. Later in life she became a healthcare worker with the mentally and physically disabled until she retired.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers; William & Thurman, 2 sisters; Jessie Mae & Johnnie Mae, daughter; Shirley, son; Larry, 2 grandchildren; Eric & Brandon. She leaves to celebrate her memory 3 sons; Zelda Jr., Rickey, & Kenneth; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, & great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Jan 5 from 11:00 AM at King Solomon Baptist Church 600 N. Johannes, Sapulpa
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan 4 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa
