Obituary of Pauline Z. Freeman

The Children of Pauline Freeman would like to share her story. Pauline was born in MacIntosh County on March 21, 1939 to Dewey and Alie Cox. She was 79 years young when she passed away at her home in Tulsa on February 9th, 2019. She is survived by 5 siblings, Jay Cox (wife Jo), Howard Cox (wife Sandra), Clorine Bolen, Jerry Cox (wife Sharon), Ava Nell Choat (husband Gerald).

Pauline was a wife and homemaker to Odell Freeman for 59 years. They were very blessed, having 4 children; Tracy Bevard (husband Michael), Dennis Freeman (wife Debbie), Janet Jones (husband Brian) and Elisha March (husband Frank). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.

Some of her favorite things to pass time were crossword puzzles, reading the Sunday paper and crocheting.  She crocheted numerous pieces and made each one of her children a table cloth and other keepsakes.  She loved researching family history and trivia.  She often called Brian and they would talk trivia for hours. She and dad loved taking road trips. They especially loved the desert southwest. She loved going back around Yuma, Arizona, and seeing where she was raised. If one of us kids went on a trip, Mom would get her very old, outdated Atlas and travel right along with us mile by mile. She would share her memories of what they had seen and what they had done in the area as well as where they ate. She always made the trip personal. She was the best weather informant you could have. She would call each one of us and tell us what was going on. Making sure that each one of us got home safe and sound.

She had a special way of putting babies to sleep.  She loved looking around the room when we were all at the house cooking and visiting with one another. Family was their most important legacy. There isn't enough time in a day to share with you all the things we loved and will miss about her. But we know we will see her and dad again.          We love you, Mom

Family will greet friends Wednesday February 13, 2019 between 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Sapulpa.
