Obituary of Orville Loyd Walker

Orville Walker, 83, beloved husband, dad, grandfather and friend, transitioned peacefully to his heavenly home on Friday, March 1, 2019.  He was born January 28, 1936 in Bernice, OK to Edd and Ada (Overmon) Walker and was reared and educated in the Barnsdall, OK school system.

On June 13, 1955, Orville married the love of his life, Roma (Tolbert) Walker.  They were the proud parents of one beautiful daughter, Tonja Renae, and made their home in Owasso, OK.

Orville had a strong work ethic and excelled in his profession of food broker sales. He loved providing for his family and making sure they had everything they needed.  He enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping and water skiing.  He loved the outdoors and kept his 2-½ acre yard in meticulous condition.  Orville was a huge OU fan and seldom missed watching a game.  Watching and listening to him during the OU game was usually more entertaining than the football game itself!

Orville is survived by his loving wife, Roma, of Owasso; daughter, Tonja Walker Stilwell and partner, Clifton Parker, of Skiatook; Grandchildren, Aimee Stilwell Hass and husband, Josh, Shelbee Stilwell, Wyatt Stilwell, Braxton Stilwell, all of Owasso and Mason Parker of Skiatook; Great grandchildren, Myles and Fynnigan Hass of Owasso.  In addition, Orville is survived by brother-n-law, Ed Tolbert and wife, LaVon of Bartlesville, sister-n-law, Mary Tolbert Purkey and husband, Mike, of Kansas City and a host of nieces and nephews.  Orville was preceded in death by his parents, Edd and Ada Walker, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Services will be at 1pm on Tuesday, March 5th, at Green Hill Funeral Home in Owasso, OK with Rev. Larry Tolbert officiating.  Interment will be following the service at Dewey City Cemetery, Dewey, OK.

Orville will lie in state in the drawing rooms of Green Hill Funeral Home on Monday, March 4th from 4pm to 8pm.  Friends and family are welcome to visit.
