Thomas Albert Koster was born on October 6, 1938, in Albany, California to parents Albert John and Helen Margarite Koster. He passed away on February 1, 2025, at the age of 86 years and three months.

Thomas is survived by his wife, seven children, 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, three siblings, and nieces and nephews.

Thomas graduated from DiAnza High School in the Bay Area of California. He was considered a track star in High School as he was very fast. He even went on to coach a few kids in track who excelled.

Out of High School, Thomas ended up joining the Air Force. Originally, he applied for the Army even though he preferred the Air Force. When he received his papers that said he was going to be stationed in England, excitement filled him as that’s where he wanted to go.

While in England, he spent his free time traveling and seeing the country and loving every second of it.

In 1978, even though he had been a bachelor for 40 years, he met Roianne and was ready for a marriage and five children. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Oklahoma. While in Oklahoma, Thomas started a window washing business and continued working until age 85.

Thomas loved studying God’s word and being inspired by it. When asked what his favorite scripture was, he replied with “all of them”. The proof came when you looked around at all the post-it notes everywhere with God’s word on them. He very much looked forward to God’s Kingdom.

He was loving, kind, positive, encouraging and never met a stranger. He loved gardening, learning new gardening tips, reading, and keeping up with world events. Giving up was never an option for him.

Thomas’ advice was always to keep reading and learning about anything you possibly could.
