Obituary of Constance Helen McGuffin
Constance Helen McGuffin (Whinery) was born on July 29th, 1933, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Dale Whinery and Constance Louise. She passed away April 10th, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
The daughter of a warden and a doting housewife, she grew in their love. Starting off colorfully, she began driving her siblings around Oklahoma City at the age of 12. She went on to wear equally harlequin hats as a nurse, beautician, truck driver and eventually property manager with her beloved husband Garland and dog Muffin.
Connie was fancy and classy, terms not used much these days, but she was exactly that. She had a fondness for shopping, but looking good is a task. She was funny, smart and kind without effort. She walked in faith, generosity and selflessness.
Connie’s greatest service was being an extraordinary mother and grandmother; Grandma Connie. We are grateful and truly blessed to have been so loved by her. We will honor her by loving and caring for each other in her absence, for we will see her again.
She was preceded in death by her adored parents Dale and Constance Louise Whinery, husband Garland McGuffin and cherished daughters Angela Denise Stevens and Cynthia Michelle McLaughlin Wilcox.
Constance is survived by her son-in-law L Wayne Stevens and her grandchildren Jeremy Stevens and wife Keli, Dion Arbuckle, Michael Myers and wife LaShaunda, Michelle Matthews and husband Jason, Courtnie Myers, Megan Myers, Stacie Myers, Shaun Stevens and wife Lahana and Asa Stevens and fiancé Dani Chapman, 32 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
