Obituary of Clarence Jean Boren

Clarence Jean Boren passed from this life on April 12, 2025, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was born on April 27, 1940, to Paul and Evelyn (Long) Boren in Kellyville, Oklahoma. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1959. On June 19, 1959, he married the love of his life, Jo Ann Horton, where they spent almost 66 years together.

He started his employment at Wonder Bread on June 10, 1959, and dedicated 42 years to the company, only taking 11 days off that entire period. Remarkably, he returned to work less than 24 hours after his wedding day.

Clarence is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Evelyn Boren, father and mother-in-law Everett and Ella Horton, brother Bobby Boren and wife Ann Boren, brother Scottie Boren, brothers-in-law Don Horton, Johnny Horton and wife Pauline, Ernie Barrett, Charles Boggs, and sister-in-law Glenda Horton.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

He is survived by his loving wife Jo Ann Boren of the home, brother Charles Boren and wife Linda of Manny, Louisiana, sister Sharon Kay Davis and husband Larry of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, brother-in-law Eldon Horton, sisters-in-law Shirley Boggs and Doris Barrett, son Preston Boren of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, daughter Kelli Wilson and husband Chris of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, grandchildren Brittany Drake, Paige Boren, Emilee Chronister and husband Gabe, and Levi Wilson, great grandchildren Georgia Clare Drake, Ave Jo Drake, Brantlee Chronister, and Sadie Mae Drake, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
