Carla Jean Hayes

June 27, 1962 – June 2, 2025

Carla Jean Hayes, 62, of Broken Arrow, OK, passed away on June 2nd, 2025, at Hillcrest South Hospital.

Carla was born on June 27th, 1962, in Sulphur, Louisiana, to parents J.C. and Eula Gamble. She attended Central for her education.

Carla was a capable and multi-talented woman, working in various fields throughout the years to support her family. Her most notable work was in bartending over many years, which allowed her to meet some of her greatest and closest friends while also serving spirits—both the drink and those souls needing comfort and companionship.

She was an avid reader who loved classic movies and crime shows, enjoyed puzzles, and loved cooking. She had a deep love for animals and was never without a furry companion—always those that needed a home and love the most.

The most remarkable trait of Carla was her love of others. Selfless and giving, she cared for and helped anyone and everyone along her path, forging bonds and friendships that resonate deeply with those who came to know her. Her grace and kindness improved so many lives.

Carla is survived by her son, Barron Jacob Autumnwood, and his two children: Beaumont and Silas. She is also survived by her sister, Marie Hendrix, and her brothers: Jay, Johnnie, and Jerry Don Gamble.

Carla will be remembered for her incredible resilience and unwavering love for her friends and family.
