Mary Alice Williams Obituary

Mary Alice (Johnson) Williams went to be with Jesus on June 7, 2025, at 88 years old. She was born on July 4, 1936, in Sparks, Oklahoma to parents James Clinton Johnson and Alice Margaret (Stewart) Johnson. She had six siblings involving Evelyn, Betty, Leroy, Margaret, Ann, Tommie, and Eddie.


She was born and raised in Sparks, Oklahoma where she played basketball, and was on the yearbook committee. After graduating, Mary met and married Johnnie Allen Quinn, and they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together they had two children, Marjorie Joice (Quinn) Mercer, and Dale Allen Quinn.


Mary worked for many years as a warranty clerk for car dealerships before going to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she retired from in 1995.


One of Mary’s favorite things was square dancing. She was the president of single squares for many years and even made her own square dance dresses. She always had a hobby whether that be cross stitching, sewing, doing ceramics, camping, fishing, or just being by the water. She also loved her dogs Prissy, Dusty, and Maddie.


She is preceded in death by her parents James and Alice Johnson, her first husband Johnnie, sisters Evelyn, Betty, and Margaret Ann, brother Leroy Johnson, son-in-law Rex Mercer, brother-in-law Billy Quinn, sister-in-law Mildred Norene Johnson, and nephews Randy Johnson and Jimmy Williams.


Mary is survived by two brothers Tommie Johnson and Eddie and wife Carolyn Johnson, daughter Margie Mercer, son Dale Quinn, daughter-in-law Danna (Ramey) Quinn and their daughter Whitney Renee Quinn, son Jesse Allen Quinn, three great grandchildren Hunter Quinn, Brecken Quinn, and Kimber Quinn, along with many nieces, nephews, and their children.
