Laurence Franklin Thomas was born April 20, 1947 to Floyd Clinton and Erma Lou Thomas in Oklahoma. He departed this life on July 17, 2025 at the age of 78.

Laurence graduated from Mounds High School in Mounds, Oklahoma. He joined the United States Air Force in 1966 after graduation and served 4 years. When he returned home, he began his career as a truck driver. He retired after working for 30 years with Teamsters.

Laurence is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Mary Thomas; his beloved son, Christopher Thomas of Coral Springs, Florida, wife Nicole Thomas, grandsons Christopher Cruz and Maverick Thomas, who were the love of his life. He is also survived by beloved son Shawn Thomas of Arkansas; sister Jessie Russell of Idaho Falls, Idaho; niece Sheree Ahart of Idaho Falls, and Mark Ahart of Idaho; and cousin Tom Doty of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd C. and Erma Lou Thomas; and his lifelong friends Calvin Carner, Donnie and Gary Neely, Gary Tibbs, and Kenny Anderson, who he loved dearly.

Arrangements are in the care of Green Hill Funeral Home.
