Phillip Alan Bappe Obituary

Phillip Alan Bappe was born on October 2,1939 in Ames, Iowa. He passed away on October 1, 2025, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. His childhood was filled with happiness and laughter, with many siblings and cousins all raised on the same street in “Bappeville." Being the oldest of 6 children born to Walter and Irene Bappe, Phil pitched in with family duties including childcare and diaper changes.

Phil enlisted in the Marine Corps after completing high school and was a very proud Marine. He represented his country with the utmost pride and respect. He then married and became a father to twin girls. He later became a manager for JC Penney and then Wal-Mart.

He was an extremely hardworking man who took pride in all aspects of his life from meticulously grooming himself and keeping his home and car immaculate, to gardening (and was so good at it that neighbors continually commented on his flowers and plants), and yardwork. He loved the outdoors but after he enjoyed playing in the dirt, he always left time at the end of his day for cleaning and manicuring his fingernails! But, Phil especially enjoyed his family and friends and was generous with hugs and back rubs (but at times expected one in return).

He kept a smile and cheerful disposition with him always and never hesitated to pass it along to anyone and everyone he met. Phil had an unshakeable faith in God, a joyful sense of humor, and a booming laugh that is certainly ringing in the Heavens.
