Mary Grace Brasesco passed away at the age of 93 on the evening of November 15, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. She was born on June 8, 1932, in Ruston, Louisiana, to John Thomas and Gracie Smith. She was the eldest of eleven siblings.

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Archie Bennett, and her second husband, Thomas Brasesco, as well as her parents, all but one of her siblings, sons-in-law, and a grandson.

Mary and Archie had three daughters: Joan Divers of Owasso, Oklahoma; Rosemon Martin and her husband, Keith, of Eucha, Oklahoma; and Luann Blair of Oklahoma City. She had six grandchildren: James Potter (deceased); Bennett Potter and his wife, Adriana, of Canton, Texas; Mike Divers of Owasso; Shannon Honken and her husband, Benjamin, of Burnsville, Minnesota; Stuart Martin and his wife, Lisa, of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota; and Luke Funderburg, of Oklahoma City. She also had three great-grandchildren: Jameson and Hollyn Potter of Tulsa, and Frankie Honken of Burnsville, Minnesota.

Mary worked for Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City. During her career, she served as a nurse’s aide on the pediatric ward, and in the pediatric oncology department, and later as a nurse anesthetist in the surgery department. She retired in 1994, after which she worked as a secretary for Claude Hall’s Gun Shows in Oklahoma City.
