Elvin Eugene Mills Jr. Obituary

Elvin Eugene Mills, Jr. was born to Elvin Eugene Mills and Wanda Gea Bewley Mills on

February 13, 1959 in St. Louis, Mo

He was adored at home by his Big Sister, Elsie Rae Mills.

Just 19 months later they welcomed the baby, Wanda Marie Mills.

The family moved to Belleville, Illinois

When Elvin was born he had Cerebral Palsy.  The disease only affected his growth

and the muscles in his legs.  He had many surgeries and persevered through the

years to keep up with his friends.  He never let his disability keep him from doing anything he wanted.

In 1969, a move to Oklahoma for the family.

Elvin graduated Owasso High School in 1978.   He worked most of the time in High School at

a mechanic shop/gas station.  He loved cars.   He was very proud of his 1969 Chevy Nova with a custom paint job.

He loved to race his car at the Tulsa Drag Strip and watch the races.

A few years after High School he married Wanda Sue Haught.  

He was very proud of his children, Jennifer Marie Campbell, Dustin Eugene Mills, Jesse Lee Mills and Blakely Sara Sue Hine.

His family moved to Poteau, OK

Elvin worked in mechanic shops and loved working on cars.  He owned his own shop in Poteau, OK

He was a Nascar fan and loved watching the races.  He collected Nascar memorbelia.

He was living in a nursing center in Mannford, OK at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his children; Jennifer Campbell, Dustin Eugene Mills, Jesse Lee Mills and wife Amber, Blakely Sara Sue Hine and husband Corkey, 8 grandchildren; Dalton Campbell and his wife Kylie, Caleb Campbell, Allie Campbell, Jorden Mills, Aiden Mills, Brandon Hine, Brooklyn Hine,and Brileigh Hine and arriving soon Great Grandson Oliver Campbell, his sister - Wanda Marie Mills Krier and husband Lonnie Krier, many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
