Carol Sue Wofford (née Miller) was born on January 2, 1947. She passed peacefully on January 6, 2025, at 3:12 p.m., surrounded by love after a long and courageous battle with cancer, just days after celebrating her 79th birthday—a testament to her strength, perseverance, and unwavering faith.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life revolved around caring for her family. She gave selflessly of her time, her heart, and her energy, always placing the needs of her loved ones above her own. Her nurturing spirit touched generations, and her presence was a steady source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.

She was the proud mother of four children. One beloved son Anthony Wofford, who preceded her in death and now welcomes her in heaven, her other three children Deborah Renae Rippetoe, James Gregory Wofford, and Angela Kay O’saughnessy, all who carry forward her legacy of love and faith. Carol was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart and were the joy of her life.

Beyond her devotion to family, Carol had a true and remarkable passion for painting. Her artistic talent was a beautiful expression of her soul, with each piece reflecting creativity, patience, and the gentle spirit she carried throughout her life. Her artwork remains a lasting reminder of her gifts and the beauty she saw in the world.

Above all, Carol’s greatest passion was her walk with the Lord. Her faith was steadfast and evident in how she lived, loved, and endured even the hardest seasons with grace. She trusted deeply in God’s promises and found peace in knowing her eternal home awaited her.

Today, Carol Sue Wofford is celebrating with the Lord. She is healed and whole, reunited with her son Anthony, her mother, father and other loved ones and resting in the presence of her Savior. 

Her love lives on in every life she touched.
