Robert Louie Smith was born on September 2, 1960, in Ponca City, Oklahoma to parents Ernest Oliver Smith and Gladys J. Smith.
Growing up in Ponca City, his family owned a dump where he and his brothers Gary, David, and Floyd would help after school and on the weekends. As a teenager growing into a young man, it took Robert a while to find his place in life. He found himself in and out of Boys’ homes and Prison for petty crimes that often made for funny stories.
His first wife Connie Marley and he shared one daughter Sarah Smitih.
Robert’s life made a drastic change once he met the love of his life, Mary. He had finally found his reason to be, his place, and his one! He treated her four children Lonnie, Stormy, Faith, and Zachary like they were his own. He provided for the family by keeping the house warm in the winter, cooking for their family of six, scrapping and tree trimming. That made Mary happy, which in turn made him happy.
He was a simple man who enjoyed fishing, gardening, Budweiser, MJ, Front porch sittin’, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and his grandkids.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Gladys Smith, his brother Charles Floyd Smith, and his loving wife of 32 years, Mary Smith.
He is survived by his brothers Gary and David Smith, stepchildren Lonnie, Stormy, Faith, and Zachary, grandchildren Alex, Haylee, Austin, Ashton, Jack, Johnnie, and Ellie, and his friends.
