Obituary of Emmitt Glenn Chilcoat

Please share a memory of Emmitt to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Emmitt Glenn Chilcoat, 86, of Kiefer, Oklahoma was born on August 20, 1939, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Susie Bell Osborn. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 2, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He went to Webster High School where he graduated from. On May 2, 1959, he married Geneva Hall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Glenn then served in the Army from 1963 to 1965, stationed in Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii.

After returning to Oklahoma, he bought land in Kiefer to raise his children on. He was an Iron worker, and he owned a structural steel business for many years, building many buildings in the Sapulpa and Tulsa Area.

Glenn loved raising Limousin cattle and chickens, gardening, traveling (Canada, Alaska, and Key West were frequented spots), and studying the Bible. He even was able to travel to Israel twice to see the places he read about in his Bible.

But most of all, he loved his family and being able to spend time with them.

Glenn was preceded in death by his mother Susie Osborn, and brother Joe Chilcoat.

He is survived by his wife Geneva Chilcoat of Kiefer, Oklahoma, brother Bobby Chilcoat, daughter Connie Sixkiller and husband David of Kiefer, Oklahoma, son Mike Chilcoat and wife Mary of Woodstock, Georgia, granddaughter Sarah Brown and husband Zach of Kiefer, Oklahoma, grandsons Alex and Evan of Woodstock, Georgia, and great grandchildren Austin, Sunny, and Violet Brown of Kiefer, Oklahoma.

We already miss Glenn terribly, but rest in the knowledge that he is in God’s arms, and we will see him again one day.
