Maxwell Elliott Sobanek Obituary

Maxwell Elliott Sobanek Obituary

Maxwell Elliott Sobanek, 24, of Oologah, OK, passed away on April 5, 2026.

He was born on February 2, 2002. Max grew up in Oologah and went to Oologah Talala High School graduating in 2020. Max worked in an array of different areas and explored different careers. He had an inquisitive mind, keeping his hands and mind busy tinkering and reverse engineering projects around the house. In a pinch Max was the master mind needed to tackle any job thrown at him. His last job was working along side his brother Michael at Muncie Power Products.

Max was known for his love of baking, video gaming, his love of music; specifically playing the saxophone. Max played all through high school and was even involved in community band in Tulsa.

He is survived by his parents, Mark and Alyson Sobanek of Oologah, OK, siblings Nikayla Kramer of Richmond, KS (Chris), Joey Sobanek of Oologah, OK, (Bailey) and Shelby Kueser of Chicago, IL. Grandparents Gerald and Alyce Elliott of Overland Park, KS, Ronald Sobanek of Mission, KS.  Nieces and nephews - Jillian, Henry, Hudson and Sunny. Aunts, uncles and multiple other friends and family.

Max’s oldest brother Michael walked along side him as they passed the same day and entered into eternal life together.

Information on a celebration of life will be posted at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Oologah Talala High School Band.

Max will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
