Yolanda Ann "Ann" Boren Obituary

Yolanda Ann Boren, 73, passed away on April 13, 2026. She was born on February 6, 1953, in Beaufort, South Carolina to parents Audrey Faye Dunaway and James Pinkney Summers.

She was a strong and spirited woman who truly lived life her way. She worked for many years at Bartlett Collins Glass Factory where she built lasting friendships and was known for her dedication and work ethic.

Yolanda loved spending time with her family, especially at gatherings where laughter was always present. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she never missed an opportunity to talk about them. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, meeting friends at the Elks Lodge, going to the movies, and watching old westerns at home. She loved driving fast and being behind the wheel herself.

She is preceded in death by her husband Scott Boren, her parents Audrey Faye Dunaway and James Pickney Summers, and her brother Ray Summers.

Yolanda is survived by her son Adam Boren and wife Tara, her beloved grandchildren Abby, Tanner, and Avery Boren, her sisters Patty Baker and Donna Brite, her aunts Glenda Blevins and Ina Young, and many nieces and nephews.

She will be remembered for her independence, her love of family, and her unforgettable personality. As she often said, “I did it my way.”
