Olive Johnese Doane went to be with her Lord on May 7, 2026, at the age of 95. She was born to Darrell Wayne Harris and Olive Irene Harris in Amarillo, Texas on January 16, 1931.

Olive graduated from New Kirk High School where she lived for her Junior and Senior years. She then moved to El Dorado, Kansas where she met the love of her life, Norman Lee Doane. They were married on June 21,1952 in El Dorado, KS. They moved to Sapulpa, OK where she worked for a car dealership, the Sapulpa Daily Herald as a typesetter, then worked at Creek County Court Clerk’s office for 27 years before retiring at the age of 75.

Her hobbies were square dancing, gardening and spending time outdoors. She loved taking her grandchildren on trips to Branson, Ohio and Colorado as well as spending time with family and watching hummingbirds.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Doane, her parents Darrell and Olive Doane, stepparents Pearl and Red Hill, as well as many relatives.

She is survived by her son Shann Doane and his wife Doris of Sapulpa, OK, grandson Scotty Doane and his wife Tara of Sapulpa, OK, grandson Matthew Doane of Sapulpa, OK and great-grandson Lane Doane and his wife Addy Doane of Claremore, OK.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at 10:30 AM in Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home - Sapulpa 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa

Olive's Final Resting Place at Green Hill Memorial Gardens 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa
