James Ray Reynolds Obituary

James Ray Reynolds was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 13, 1955. He was the son of Neomia and Alden David. He had two younger brothers, Joe and Dwayne David. 


 


James graduated from Olive High School in 1973. He excelled in Baseball and Basketball.  After high school James was married to Bertha Edens for 10 years. 


 


James worked as pipe fitter/welder for most of his life until his retirement in 2018. He enjoyed spending time with his family, painting, fishing, watching old movies, taking naps, complaining about how terrible the Cardinals are this year, and yelling at the TV during OU games. 


 


He is survived by his mother, Neomia David; his brother, Dwayne David; and his children, Kathey Portley, Stacy Olson, and James Alden Reynolds; along with 4 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces with one nephew on the way. James loved spending time with his family, including his 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. 


 


He was preceded in death by his father, Alden David, and brother, Joe Allen David. 


James was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed.


Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, May, 18, 2026 at 10:30, at Green Hill Funeral Home with interment in Sunrise Cemetery. There is no viewing scheduled. Arrangements are in the care of Green Hill Funeral Home.
