Julenea Faye Soliday Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY

JULENEA FAYE SOLIDAY

Left this earth to go to heaven and be an ANGEL May 22nd, 2026

Julenea was born on October 6th, 1950, to Elvis J Lawson & Alpha Juline Lawson (Johnson) in Ponca City, OK.

She had a sister, Connie Ruth Shepard, and they lived in Udall Kansas until a Tornado came and took the lives of her birth mother and several family members.

Elivis married Sue Parker who had 2 children, Patti Anne and Steven Ray, and a few years later had Carol Louise Lawson, Julenea’s youngest sister.

She was raised in Udall Kansas until she was 17 years old, when the Lawson family moved to Sapulpa OK where she was enrolled in Sapulpa High School to finish her senior year and graduate.

She met Terry L Norris in High school, whom she married and had their first child, Randall Scott Norris on August 5th, 1970 in Tulsa Ok.

Eleven months later Julenea had their second child Keith Terrell Norris on July 7th, 1971 in Sapulpa Ok. Several years later she divorced and embarked on raising her two boys on her own, with the help from family members.

Later in life she met Steven Soliday whom she married in 1981 and began their lives together. Like most couples they had their ups and downs, but were able to travel a lot once Randy and Keith were older and out of the house.

Julenea always said the best time she had with Steve was when they lived in Yellowstone National Forest for 4 months in tents, an adventure most do not have the opportunity to experience. To hear Julenea tell the story, they would have not have left had it not been for the massive snow fall that year.

Steve and Julenea divorced in 2004 and she moved back to Sapulpa to be around family,  where she finished her career in retail as a night stocker at Walmart. She retired from Walmart and loved to spend her time traveling and going out to eat. She particularly loved Mexican food, AKA charro beans and rice, and loved a good margarita on the rocks no salt.

Julenea loved her family and grandkids. Her great grandkids would always make her smile when she would hear from them, or when Randy would take her on road trips to go see ‘her babies’ as she called them, in San Antonio Tx.

Julenea loved to take road trips with Randall, or her sister Carol, just so she could see all of nature and the wonderful things God created. She would always say experiencing these things would make her feel at peace and happy.

Julenea was survived by her son Randall, sisters Connie and Carol,  brother Steven, and her grandchildren Taylor Norris, Kayleigh Herrera, and Ashton Norris.
