Donna Kathryn (Korn) Engelbrecht, 81, died June 13, 2026, at her final home in Verdigris, OK, from complications of an accident in August 2020, that left her an incomplete quadriplegic. She is survived by her sons Andrew, of Verdigris, OK, and Bryce, of St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren Jackson and Lauren of St. Petersburg, FL; and brother James “Jim” Korn (Lois), of Sapulpa. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Mary Kay Korn.

Donna graduated from Sapulpa High School, attended William Woods College, and transferred to OU, where she attained her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Speech Pathology.

She served as a speech pathologist in the Kellyville and Sapulpa Public Schools for nearly three decades and provided private speech therapy services after her retirement. She then worked for Occidental Petroleum for 13 years before retiring.

Donna was active in numerous charitable endeavors throughout her life. Many will remember her dedicated years serving in the Tulsa Volunteer Center’s “Wrap Shop” at Woodland Hills mall. She was an active member of Tulsa Elks Lodge 947 and was the first woman elected as Exalted Ruler.

Donna was an avid and incredibly talented ballroom dancer, winning regional and national competitions in East and West Coast Swing. She lived an active life on the water, bowling competitively, and socially in a variety of pursuits – not least of which as a formidable partner in many Bridge groups.

She was a devoted servant of the Lord, serving in leadership roles over the years as a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sapulpa, where she and her two sons attended weekly throughout their upbringing and until the time of her accident.

The celebration of life for Donna will be this Saturday, June 20, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Sapulpa, OK.
