Geraldine Mary “Gerri” Billings

July 17, 1946 – July 22, 2026

Geraldine Mary Billings, lovingly known as Gerri, age 80, of Sapulpa, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. She was a devoted mother, sister, granny, and great‑grandmother, roles she cherished throughout her life.

Born on Wednesday, July 17, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Gerri was the oldest of six and the daughter of Gerald and Donna Sheerman. She grew up in a lively family and was preceded in death by her siblings Marilyn, Rodney, and Sheila. She is survived by her brothers Richard Sheerman and his wife  Linda Sheerman and Donald Sheerman and his partner Song Babb, who will forever hold her memory close.

Gerri built a long and dedicated career in public service. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a supervisor, where she was known for her reliability, leadership, and steady presence. Before that, she spent years with Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator, a job that suited her warm voice and patient nature.

She leaves behind her two children, Tina Gay and Kristen Billings, who carry her strength and humor forward. Gerri was the proud grandmother of seven beautiful grandchildren: Dion Billings, Gaven Gay, Erik Cervantes, Sierra Gay, Michael Trotter, Charly Cervantes, and Skylar Billings. Her legacy continues through her nine great‑grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Gerri had a deep love for plants, flowers, and the quiet beauty of nature. Her home was always filled with greenery, and she found peace watching the birds gather at her feeder. These simple moments were her favorite — reminders of the gentleness she brought into the world.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026 at Sand Springs Church of Christ, starting at 1:00 p.m.
