Katherine Louise Baker was born May 13, 1938, in Jenks, Oklahoma, to Charles and Viola Coonce. She passed from this life on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Katherine attended Pretty Water Elementary school. Pretty Water Schools is where she met her future husband, Henry Baker. They both attended and graduated from Sapulpa High School. During their school years, they fell in love. Henry was her first love. They married on November 18, 1955. They were approaching their 71st wedding anniversary. They had two children, Melinda Faye and Russell Dale. She was a homemaker for most of her life. After Melinda and Russell started school, she worked part time at Ted’s Cleaners in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Katherine is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Baker, her parents, Charles and Viola Coonce, and her brothers, Charles “Buster” Coonce and Ronald Coonce.

She is survived by her daughter Melinda and her husband Bill Beem and son Russell and his wife Debra Baker. Her legacy continues with five grandchildren: Jennifer Martin and her husband Jerrod, Jason Beem, Eddie Beem and his wife Tiffany, Preston Baker and his wife Randi and Cordell Baker and his wife Lauren. Twelve Great Grandchildren: Remington Beem, Brooklyn and her husband Brandon Hunter, Lauren and her husband Elijah McSherry, Carson Beem and his wife DeAnn, Eden Beem, Brecken Baker, Cyrus Baker, Presley Baker, Murphy Baker, Opal Baker, Elsie Baker and Beatrice Baker. Five Great-Great Grandchildren: Noah Kate Hunter, Addisyn McSherry, Kamryn McSherry, Reagan McSherry and Luke Beem.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Aug 10 starting at 10:00 AM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel - Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa.

Visitation Viewing will be held on Monday, Aug 10 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel-Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa.
