Obituary of Arta Eufaula Wyrick

Arta Eufaula Wyrick, previously of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away Friday October 3, 2014 in the Evergreen Care Center in the Baptist Village of Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 88. Arta Eufaula was born in Commerce, Oklahoma on January 4, 1926 to William Samuel and Maudie Blanch (Hoggatt) Potts. She attended school in Commerce, Oklahoma. On October 5, 1943, she married Jack Dempsey Wyrick in Miami, Oklahoma. They lived most of their married lives on a farm north of Welch, Oklahoma and in Miami, Oklahoma where she was a housewife. Arta was a member of the Church of Christ. Arta loved shoes, purses, hats, jewelry, SHOPPING, presents and lots of them (it did not matter if they were big or small), Christmas, Tony Roi (an Elvis tribute artist), Tom Jones and family. She especially loved seeing her great-grandchildren that lived near her: Lucian, Kyra, Minxie, Bayne, Hunter, Parker, and Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack on October 8, 1990, brothers Ashford Earl Potts, Junior Potts, her infant son Jimmy Earl and infant daughter Stacy. Arta is survived by her son Jerry Wyrick and his wife Sharon of Claremore, Oklahoma and by her daughter Linda and her husband Jim Foltz of Collinsville, Oklahoma. She lived with her daughter Linda and her family after she had her stroke in 2001. She also is survived by four grandchildren; Debbie and her husband Lynn Jeraulds of Wichita, Kansas, Michelle and her husband Steve Jordan of Claremore, Oklahoma, Matthew Foltz of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Samantha and her husband Joe Barker of Owasso, Oklahoma. There are also ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren, a special sister-in-law, Nellie Potts of Miami, Oklahoma and several nieces and nephews surviving.
