Josafay Lambert Owen, age 81, was found dead at her home Friday, September 26, 2008 of natural causes. Josafay was born March 15, 1927 east of Miami, Oklahoma. Her parents were Earl Levi and Edna Mary (Sherwood) Lambert. She moved to Sapulpa 35 years ago. Prior to that, she had lived in the Tennessee Prairie area, east of Baxter Springs, Kansas. She had worked at Drysdale Western Store, Tulsa, Oklahoma for several years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Woman's Association, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She had attended Lowell Friends Church, Lowell, Kansas. Her husband, Robert Owen passed away in 1987. Surviving are 4 step-children; Ron Owen, Galena, Kansas, Gary Owen and Mike Owen, both of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Roberta Stein, State of Hawaii; one brother, Earl Dean Lambert, Galena, Kansas; 8 step-grandchildren, and 10 great-step-grandchildren. Her body was taken for cremation. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 4, 2008 at the House of Prayer, Riverton, Kansas. Pastor Audie Tash will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church the hour proceeding the service. Service: Saturday, October 4, 2008, at 2:00 PM House of Prayer Riverton, Kansas Cemetery:
