Robert “Bob” Leroy Hendrix, Sr., age 63, of Sapulpa passed away at his home on December 26, 2014. Bob was an over the road truck driver with 25 years of service for J.B. Hunt Transportation, Inc. He was born March 26, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Roy and Edna Hendrix. Bob was the fourth of eight children in the Hendrix family. He married Rhonda Canady of Tulsa on March 14, 1975.
Bob is survived by his wife, Rhonda (Canady) Hendrix of Sapulpa; his children Melissa Hendrix of Tulsa; and Jon and Marla Palmer of Sapulpa; grandchildren Larry and Holly Martinez, III, Taylor and Jesus Medrano and Garrett Gann; great-grandchildren Harlow, Annie, Junior, Carter, Cayson and one on the way; his siblings Glen, John, Joe and Steve Hendrix all of Missouri and Winnie Nicholson of Tulsa; brother-in-law Truman Hardin Canady; and sister-in-law Lavinia Padgett.
Bob was preceded in death by both parents; brother Douglas Hendrix; sister Joyce (Hendrix) Fox; nieces Jennifer Padgett, Shawna Hendrix and Sheri (Hendrix) Stevens; and nephew Dustin Canady.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Burial will be at Kellyville City Cemetery. The family has entrusted the services to the directors at Green Hill Funeral Home. 9182242312 / www.greenhillok.com
