Obituary of Glen Risley

Glen Risley was 82 years old when he was called home by our Lord on August 14, 2023.

Glen passed peacefully, in his sleep, of natural causes in Collinsville, Oklahoma.

He was born on June 27, 1941 in Qualls, Oklahoma to Ruby Marie and Guy Birtten Risley. 

Glen was married to his loving and devoted wife, Sally Elizabeth, for 62 years. 

Glen was the proud Co-owner and Operator of Risley and Son Trash Service for 54 years.  Glen will rest easy knowing that his son Kevin Risley and grandson-in-law Craig Carroll will continue to carry on the legacy of the company. 

Glen loved bowling and being outdoors.  He enjoyed gardening, fishing or just tinkering with some sort of motor.  He was an avid mechanic from a very young age.  He was a great fan of car racing, especially when his son Kevin, grandson-in-law Craig or Risley Racing driver Ty Hulsey was at the track.  He was always ready and willing to be part of the pit crew. 

Glen’s pride and joy was his family and he loved them more than anything. His greatest contribution was providing for his family. 

Glen was preceded in death by: his parents, Ruby and Guy Risley; sister, Virginia Queen; brothers, Ray Risley and Floyde Risley. 

He is survived by: wife - Sally Risley; daughter - Robyn DeVilbiss and spouse Jim; son - Kevin Risley and spouse Dena; granddaughters - Jessica Lewis and spouse Matt, Chelsey Risley and spouse Bryan, Courtney Carroll and spouse Craig; great-grandchildren - Charlie Sue, Connor, Erica, Ariana, Lauren, Karlee, Romie Lynn; great-great grandchildren - Italy, Romen; sisters - Leona Armer and spouse Darrell, Wynona Cordray and spouse Dennis, Viola Norris; brothers - John Risley and spouse Judy, Clifford Risley and spouse Tina.
