Obituary of James Jackson Scribner

James Jackson Scribner, better known as Jim, was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, July 26, 1930 and passed away on February 28, 2017, at the age of 86. He is survived by wife, Tina Scribner of Sapulpa, OK, daughter, Judith Base and fiancé Larry Bogdan, of Tulsa, OK, granddaughter, Yvonne and husband, Bobby Quier and great grandchildren, Jonathan Bobby III (Bootie), Emily and Brayley of Fort Gibson, OK, granddaughter, Tonya and husband, Jay Busby and great granddaughter, Reagan of Bixby, OK, daughter-in-law, RuthAnn Scribner of Sand Springs, OK, granddaughter, Shannel Watkins and great grandchildren, Dalton, Nathan and Ashton of Collinsville, OK. He is also survived by stepsons, Alan Pfeiffer and family, Eddie Pfeiffer and family, stepdaughter, Kristy Pfeiffer and a host of nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, a son, James Scribner, Jr., a son-in-law, Merl Base, a great granddaughter, Marie Watkins and a great grandson, Brady Quier. Jim retired as a machinist from Caterpillar after many years of service. He loved his small dogs, enjoyed fishing and he liked cooking with his homemade BBQ for family and friends. Jim looked forward each weekend to playing poker with his closest family members. He will be missed by family and friends, especially his next-door neighbor, Robert Mullins and his beautiful bride.
