Obituary of Nicholas Cane Morris

Nicholas (Nick) Cane Morris was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 30, 1997 to Darci Long and Ray Morris. He moved to his Heavenly Home on March 28, 2017 surrounded by his family and a multitude of close friends who will love and miss his presence here on earth until they are reunited with him in Heaven. Nick was a hard-working young man with a quirky sense of humor and a smile that could light up the room. He loved to make others laugh and did a great job making others enjoy his company. He was the one that always offered to help others, expecting nothing in return. The quality of his work was always the best he knew how to do and he was always willing to learn how to improve. At times like this a person’s life is described by the – (dash) between the date of birth and death. Nick’s – dash was mostly spent in the Glenpool/Kiefer, Oklahoma area. His school years were spent in Glenpool Public Schools where he met many lifelong friends. Nick was present at all family gatherings and will be greatly missed at those in the future. Nick’s – dash was huge in all of our lives. Nick is survived by his parents, Darci Long and Ray Morris, brother Colby Long, maternal grandparents, Tom and Jerry Syrles, paternal grandmother, Donna Morris, maternal great-grandmother, Pat Syrles, aunts Christi Williamson, Mary Lepak and Brenda Miller along with several great-aunts, uncles and cousins. Cousins that were more like siblings are Ty, Kylee, Bryce and Talan Williamson. Nick was preceded in this journey by his paternal grandfather, Bill Morris and maternal great-grandfather, Ray Syrles, maternal great-grandparents, Tom and Alma Seabolt, paternal great-grandparents Bill and Wilma Morris and Robert Ociemae (Thompson) Wadley and great aunt Caroly Seabolt Dugan. Because of the generousity of Nick’s family, others will have a chance for a long life due to organ donation. Services celebrating Nick’s life are scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Faith Church, 1901 W. 171st St. Glenpool, OK with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa. Viewing is Tuesday, April 4th from 12 -8 p.m., at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa. The family wants to thank in advance all of those that have provided love, comfort, kind words and support in so many ways. You lift us up in our time of grief.
