Obituary of Terry DeLane Knight

Terry DeLane Knight went to be with the Lord September 9, 2017 at the age of 77.  He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 11, 1940 to parents Oscar and Helen (White) Knight.

Terry spent his early childhood in Catoosa, Oklahoma and later moved to Tulsa and graduated from Will Rogers High School.  He attended school for drafting and then served in the U.S. Army Reserves during Vietnam.  He worked as a draftsman for John Zinc and later at Calladus Tech where he retired.  Terry was also an ordained minister and pastored Anchor of Hope Church in Tulsa for many years.  He preached every Sunday evening at a nursing home and spent many hours distributing food at the church food pantry.

He was a very patient man.  He didn’t worry about the little things, he was content.  He liked to fish and enjoyed reading books and studying the Bible.

Terry was preceded in death by his wife Sue Knight; his mother Helen Kingery’ his father and step-mother Oscar and Walcie Knight; sister JoAnn Meadlin; and brother Dwain Knight.  He is survived by sister-in-law Patricia Knight; sister Joy Keigley and husband Monte; his step-son Damon and DeWayne Dean; nephews Frank Knight and Tim Keigley; and niece Hailey Knight.  He is also survived by his best friend Mike Gilbert.

Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:00 am Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is from 12-8 pm on Wednesday.  The family has entrusted the services to Green Hill Funeral Home.  918-224-2312/www.greenhillok.com
