Obituary of Virginia Dare Griffin

Virginia Dare Griffin was born in Porum, OK on March 19, 1936 to parents Florence Dandridge and Nova Call. Virginia went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2023 at the age of 87.

Virginia married Carroll Griffin on April 27, 1953. She worked at Tulsa Public Schools for over 30 years and Green Hill Funeral Home for several years. Virginia loved the Lord and her family. She attended Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Sapulpa. She was a people person and was loved by many. Virginia was a doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Virginia is survived by two daughters, Debbie Evans and Linda Whitehouse; four grandchildren, Cody Byassee, Jeremy Evans, Courtney Whithehouse, and Stetson Whitehouse; and five great-granchildren, Adryan Whitehouse, Blaire Evans, Cayden Byassee, Ellie Evans, and Myles Evans. She would do anything for them. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Pate, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Carroll Griffin, sisters Frankie Meeks, Zadie Belle Call, Doris Phillips, and brothers Carl Call, Barney Call, Leo Call, Nelson Call, and Gleason Call.

She’ll be in our hearts until we see her again.
