Obituary of Monica Lea Lumpkin

Monica Lea Lumpkin, 59, passed away on February 7, 2024, at St John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Monica was born July 16, 1964, in Sapulpa, OK to Jack and Sarah Smith.

In 1994, she married Craig Allen Lumpkin joining their two families together: Kacey Caldwell of Norman, OK, Christopher Caldwell of Frisco, TX, and Candace Montambo, her husband Dylan and two grandchildren, Charlie and Greyson, of Hawaii.

 Monica was passionate in life for her family, lake living and camping, the Texas Rangers, and her faith community. She was a valued leader in her professional career, family, and community.

She is preceded in death by her father Jack Smith, In addition to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Monica is survived by her mother Sarah Smith of Tulsa, OK; sister Karen Hendrickson and husband Mike of Tulsa, OK; sister Christie Burns of Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces and nephews which she held dear to her heart.

Donations in memory of Monica Lumpkin can be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church – Manna Meals. Manna Meals is a ministry Monica was actively involved in that helped feed those living on the streets of Tulsa.
