Obituary of DON E. NAPIER

Don E. Napier departed to be with his Heavenly Father November 18, 2014 at the age of 69. He passed away on a Tuesday morning, at home with his loving wife, Barbara and his son Rendell by his side. His wondrous life began on July 8, 1945. Don was preceded in death by his mother and father, Delmer and Vera; his brother Delmer Leon; sister Ruth Legrand; and brother Loyd. Don is survived by his wife Barbara Napier; son Rendell and wife Marcie; brother Dan Napier; and sister Shirley Newman. Don served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War. When he came home he went back to work for Liberty Glass where he worked for the next 21 years. He then worked for SPS Transportation for 15 years. In the Spring of 1998 he took over Happy Hollow Gun Range, where we all remember those infamous words, “Shut it down Rambo!” He touched all of our lives. We loved him and thought of him as a “mountain of a man!” He has left a lasting impression on all of us. He was one of the strongest men we have ever met. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 am until 9 pm on Wednesday.
