I've known Mary Hecox since I was 6 yrs old. I was in church with her every Sunday and Wednesday since I can remember. I was lucky enough for her to be my Sunday School teacher for several years! Since our church was a smaller church there were some Sunday's when just she and I would be in class. I cherished those Sunday's and our "talks". She always made me feel special and let me ask her whatever questions I wanted to about her, her life and anything I needed or wanted to know about the Bible and Jesus. She was such a wonderful woman, always with a sweet smile and a soft voice. I always felt loved by her and I hope as I grew up she felt loved by me. Mary, Until we meet again... I love you! One of many memories of Mrs. Hecox. She would always make her famous Chocolate cake whenever I would come over after school with Stephen or spend the night. Not sure she made it for me but it was always there when I would show up and let me tell you it was out of this world good the best I ever had. She would cook up the crawfish tails that Stephen and I would collect all summer long. Mrs. Hecox was a great American and a person of GOD. If there ever was a person you would what your daughter to grow up and to be like it would be Mary Hecox. She will be deeply missed by all. I know she is in a much better place now watching over her family and friends. If there was ever such a great person to walk through the Pearly Gates of Heaven Mary Hecox is one of the best to pass through.

Just want you to know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We loved Mary deeply and she was a wonderfully spiritual woman who always had a word of comfort and a scripture to go with it. She will be missed. If there is anything we can do don't hesitate to call.
