Obituary of CLYDE BRIGANCE

Clyde Richard Brigance, Jr., 90, died Monday, June 20, 2011, at Clearwater, Florida. He was born February 22, 1921 at Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Clyde took pride in his home town and has been a long standing member of the Sapulpa Historical Society. Clyde graduated from Sapulpa High School, served in the Army and was honorably discharged on November 7, 1944. He went to work for the railroad and was assigned to the run between Oklahoma and California where he eventually settled and became a real estate broker. He was friends with many celebrities and met and married Mary Chaudet on May 20, 1970. She was an entertainer, part of a singing act and a professional magician. Clyde and his wife were members of the Magic Castle where she performed her magic. Mary preceded him in death on August 27, 1980. Clyde was an avid golfer, winning many trophies and awards as well as one award for a Hole in One on March 5, 2003. Clyde had no children. He is survived by his nephew, Earle F. Brigance from Clearwater, FL and Earle's son Shawn and his family who reside in Stockton, Missouri.
