Alvis Don Harvey passed away July 4th, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born September 15th, 1928 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Albert and Rosa Harvey. He moved to California at the age of 12, where he lived and worked for many years. He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 where he served on the USS Passumpsic AO-17 Oiler Tanker. He moved back to Oklahoma 36 years later. He married Helen Abbott April 29, 1983. He was a member of Southern Hills Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where he had many brothers and sisters in Christ. He lived in Sapulpa when he passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Rosa Harvey, son Doug Harvey, grand-daughter Britney Harvey, and step-son Randy Abbott, sisters Jessie, Hazel, and Mary, brothers Leon and Franklin. He is survived by his wife Helen of the home, son Donald Harvey, daughters Penny Fleischer, Debra Crabtree, Carole Hargrove, his sister Maxine Houck, step-daughters Laurie Mulliniks, Lisa Butler, Denise Dupus, and 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
