Obituary of JERALDEAN LAUNIUS

Please share a memory of JERALDEAN to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeraldean Elizabeth Launius was born December 09, 1947 to Delmar and Loretta Scott in Bloomington, Illinois. She passed on July 13, 2011 at the age of 63. Jeraldean was preceded in death by both of her parents and granddaughter Britney Gettle. Jerri, as many called her, married Chester A. Launius on October 09, 1982. She was survived by sisters and brothers: Stella Scott, Judy Ann Anderson, Elda Spears, Chuck Scott and wife, LeAnn, and Ron Scott; children: Angela Gettle and husband, Jeff, Tony McCollum, and Amanda Launius; grandchildren: Tiffany McCarty and husband Curtis, Michael, Jonothan, Kyle, Darrin and Logan. She also leaves behind great grandkids, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jerri and Chester moved from Rockford, Illinois to Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 1993 to live with her parents. Jerri stayed home and watched kids for a living. Caring for children has always been a passion for her. As for reading, she had her own library of books. She read each book at least twice. But her most prized passion was her vastly large collection of koala bears. No one really knows how many she had. She has touched the hearts and lives of so many and will truly be missed by all.
