Billy Tom Patterson was born in Turkey, Texas but has lived has lived in the Sapulpa area for the past 40 years. He served as a corporal in The U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He drove a truck for most of his life, until retiring from John Christner Trucking in 1990. He was active in team roping for many years, and always enjoyed quality time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Janie Patterson; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Leon Toppins of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; step-daughter, Loretta Bowman of Houston, Texas. He was the beloved Poopaw to grandchildren: Misty and Jason Ray of Preston, Oklahoma; William Bowman, Jr. of Houston, Texas; Lindsey Bowman-Perry and Billy Perry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and great grandchildren: Dakota and Jordyn Ray of Preston, Oklahoma; Darrion, Dru and Makenna Perry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He has extended family Christine and Martin Archer and Melissa Melton and Robert Linker. He is also survived by many family members and friends too numerous to mention. He never met a stranger and was always the center of attention no matter where he was. He will be greatly missed by all.
